You either love it or hate it. If you’re anywhere near social media, there are plenty of posts to support that statement. You either believe it’s the nectar of the gods or a bitter concoction of no-thank-you. As for me, my love of coffee began my first year of college, mostly out of necessity. I played with the strength and the condiments as I perfected what I have come to love about mornings. If I’m being honest, I am not nor will I ever be…a morning person. If I must get up at the crack of dawn, coffee is what will get me vertical, and what will keep me vertical, as needed, during the day. I know that I absolutely do not like sugar in my coffee and I know there are many that enjoy a little coffee with their sugar. I like my coffee strong and I like it with milk, half and half in a pinch but not my preference. I love the way it smells and I’ve tried fancy coffees, but I prefer to make coffee in my kitchen and enjoy the ritual of my morning routine.

Last year, I took a fabulous trip to Bali, Indonesia. I stayed in a sanctuary dedicated to catering to women. It was one the best gifts I’ve ever give to myself. The sweet ladies who cooked and ran the kitchen were beautifully sweet and all smiles. I loved seeing them every day. After the first morning, I was greeted every morning for the rest of my stay with a cup of coffee made with love and it was absolute perfection as I basked in every sip. This…
